Effect of Adhesive Viscosity on Bonding Performance of CR/Fiberglass Cloth Composite
The influence of adhesive viscosity on the interlayer adhesion strength and tensile shear strength of the composite prepared by neoprene rubber and glass fiber cloth was studied and analyzed. The results showed that, with the viscosity of adhesive decreasing gradually, the interlayer adhesion strength and tensile shear strength of the composite first increased and then decreased, and reached the peak value when the efflux time of adhesive was 40~35 s.The scanning electron microscope(SEM)images of the fracture interface of the interlayer adhesive sample of the composite showed that the fracture interface of the sample with different adhesive viscosity showed obvious difference. With the decrease of adhesive viscosity, the bonding strength between the 6-layer composite and the metal wheel also showed the trend of first increased and then decreased, which was consistent with the change trend of interlayer bonding strength and tensile shear strength of the composite.
