The Properties of alkylphenol disulfide CV-50,DTDM-80 and CLD-80 in EPDM formu-lation were compared and studied.The results showed that CV-50 did not produce carcinogenic nitros-amines and nitrosamines substance during high-temperature vulcanization,and its odor was the ligh-test compared to commonly used sulfur donor vulcanizing agents;The mechanical properties,heat and oxygen aging resistance properties,and compression set of the corresponding compound of CV-50 were basically the same as those of the compound of DTDM-80,but CV-50 was environmentally friendly and cost effective.Therefore,CV-50 was an ideal environmentally friendly alternatives to DTDM-80,CLD-80,etc.
