Social Accelerating without Control:An analysis of Rosa's"Resonance"Theory
German philosopher Hartmut Rosa,as the fourth generation of the Frankfurt School, takes"social acceleration"in the current capitalist social background as the starting point of his"resonance theory",which aims to seek a way to build a good life in the criticism of capitalist society.Rosa believes that modernity comes from the practice of people trying to control the world. In order to eliminate the sense of loss of control in the heart, the dynamic structure of modern society has to control the world in all aspects, while this desire for control plays the opposite role.Rosa believes that the current uncontrolled accelerated society has finally become what the public does not expect, that is,the universal alienation of human beings. In order to restore the good relationship between people in the society and break the situation of universal alienation,Rosa put forward the"resonance"theory as a solution.
