On Utopia of Human Nature Built by Confucian,Taoist,Zen and Tao Yuanming
Confucianism,which advocates the inherent goodness of human nature,Taoism,which promotes returning to the simplicity of infancy and going back to nature,and Zen Buddhism,which affirms the purity of the original mind,all hope to save the world or achieve self-redemption through returning to the authenticity of human nature,a kind of"Peach Blossom Land"claimed by Tao Yuanming within humanity.Confucianism places its hopes in the"sage king"and the"philosopher king",Taoism along with envisions a"small country with few people"and a"Peach Blossom Land",while Zen relies on"illuminating the mind and seeing one's nature".In this regard,despite their superficial differences,Confucianism,Taoism,and Zen achieve a spiritual consensus beyond their apparent divergence,sharing a common vision of an"authentic Peach Blossom Land"within human nature.
