Influencing Factors and Optimization Approach of Career Identity of New College Counselors——Based on a Survey of 1,642 New College Counselors in A Province
The counselor is an important part of the university teaching staff,is the backbone of the ideological and political education of college students,and is the guide for the growth of college students.Career identity is an important predictive variable that affects counselors'career choice and even career belief.Based on the survey of 1,642 new counselors in colleges and universities in A Province,this paper discusses the influencing factors of their career identity.Through factor analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis,it is found that perceived respect,job satisfaction and school external reputation significantly affect counselors'career identity,among which perceived respect has a signifi-cant mediating effect between school external reputation and job satisfaction.It is concluded that the career identity of new counselors is generally happy with hidden sorrows,and the career identity of counselors of different working years presents a mountain peak shape.Some suggestions are put forward such as improving the level of career cognition,enlightening the thinking of career value,firmly adher-ing to career belief and doing a good job of career management.
