摘要
英剧《天堂一刻》从左拉小说《妇女乐园》中获取灵感,以松散改编的手法再现了19世纪中后期现代零售业诞生之后的社会变革.在保留小说《妇女乐园》基本情节和人物的同时,英剧《天堂一刻》借助肥皂剧元素和"小妞电影"创作技巧对小说内容进行了重新"编码".英剧《天堂一刻》在改编过程中为迎合当代观众,遮蔽了左拉小说中以欲望为核心的自然主义成分,突出了对"美好的旧时光"的怀念主题.
Abstract
The British TV series The Paradise(2012-2013)draws inspiration from Émile Zola's novel Au Bonheur des Dames and reappears the era that emerged in the mid-and late 19th century af-ter the birth of modern retailing in loose adaptation.The Paradise retains the basic plot and characters from Zola's novel and"recodes"the stories by virtue of the soap-opera elements and the"chick mov-ie"techniques.In the process of adaptation,The Paradise caters to the contemporary audience and con-sciously conceals the elements of naturalism in Zola's original work,particularly in the portrayal of de-sire,which highlights the theme of nostalgia for the"good old days".
