Wang Zhouyao pursued the tradition of scholar-officials,but he could keenly perceive the academic development trend of the late Qing Dynasty and establish the academic purport of"seek-ing Tao from classics".He followed the development of the times,agreed with and practiced the mod-ern educational idea,and successfully realized the transformation from a traditional scholar to a modern scholar.Academic interest,educational practice and continuation of context are the driving forces to promote his transformation.
