A Comparative Study on the Clinical Effects of Patients with Multiple Rib Fractures Treated with Conservative Treatment and Circumferential Device Surgery
Objective To study the clinical effects of patients with multiple rib fractures treated with conservative treatment and circumferential device surgery. Methods Seventy-six patients with multiple rib fractures admitted to our hospital during the period from January 2019 to May 2023 were divided into conservative and surgical groups using randomized grouping, and the clinical treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results The difference in VAS scores between the two groups of patients before treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05),the improvement of the renewal indexes of patients in the surgical group was significantly better than that of the conservative group in the 1d and 3d after treatment(P<0.05),the improvement of VAS scores of the conservative group was significantly better than that of the surgical group(P<0.05),and the incidence of compli-cations in the surgical group was significantly lower than that of the conservative group(P<0.05);in the surgical group the duration of analgesic drug use was significantly lower than that of the conservative group, but the hos-pitalization time and treatment cost were significantly higher than that of the conservative group(P<0.05).Con-clusion The treatment of patients with multiple rib fractures through circumferential device fixation can improve the rehabilitation effect of patients, effectively reduce the incidence of complications, and enable patients to re-cover better.
