《漂流在时间里的人》是欧茨创作晚期的一部科幻作品,小说描写了两位陷入主体危机的主人公的命运悲剧.欧茨善于从个体悲剧命运出发展现作者本人的社会关切,文章以身份构建为线索,剖析角色悲剧命运的深层原因,探究欧茨的创作观和其浓厚的现实主义风格.小说与作者成长经历高度重合的背景设置也体现了欧茨强烈的社会道德责任感和传统文化意识.
Abstract
Hazards of Time Travel is a science fiction in the late period of Oates's creation.The novel describes the tragedy of two protagonists who fall into the identity crisis.Oates criticizes the states quo from the perspec-tive of individual tragic fate.This paper takes the process of identical deconstruction as a clue to analyze the deep causes of the tragic fate of the characters,and probes into Oates's creative view and her realism style.The highly coincident background of the novel and the author's own growth experience also reflects Oates's strong sense of social moral responsibility and traditional cultural awareness.
