Since the 1980s,with the gradual entry of Orff teaching method as an opportunity,the scope of re-search in the field of music education in China is increasingly broad and has entered a key stage of rapid develop-ment.Inspired by the concept of"metacognition"(thought of thought)by Fraville,this paper attempts to define metacognition,explain its connotation,describe the role of metacognition in music teaching,and analyze and study the strategies in the specific music teaching scene,in order to produce adual reconsideration of the theory and practice of music education.
