A Study on the Translation of Chinese Culture-loaded Words from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory——Taking 2017~2022 Translation of Paragraphs in CET-4 as an Example
Since the 18th National Congress report proposed"enhancing cultural confidence",traditional Chinese culture has received high attention.The emergence of a large number of Chinese culture-loaded words in CET-4 reflects the development and requirements of this era.Based on the theory of functional equivalence,this article takes the Chinese paragraphs in translation section of CET-4 test from June 2017 to December 2022 as the re-search texts,and uses transliteration,literal translation,free translation and other methods to translate their cultural connotations and meanings according to different categories of these words,so as to improve college students'ability to translate Chinese into English in the test,realize the effective transmission of Chinese culture,and en-hance national cultural confidence.
