The Application Value of High-Frame-Frequency Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound versus CT in Assessing the Status of Sentinel Lymph Nodes in Breast Cancer
Objective To explore the application of H-CEUS and CT in assessing the status of SLN in breast can-cer.Methods Fifty-four patients who underwent surgical treatment for unilateral breast cancer from March 2020 to May 2023 at our hospital were randomly selected. All study subjects underwent preoperative unilateral SLN scanning using H-CEUS with CT,and a total of 72 enlarged lymph nodes were detected, while the respective acoustic image characteristics describing the SLN were recorded.Based on the histopathological findings of post-operative SLN after surgical treatment, all study subjects were divided into lymph node non-metastatic group(n=22 cases)and metastatic group(n=50 cases). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of H-CEUS,CT,and the combined detection of the above two means were further analyzed. Results H-CEUS detected a total of metastatic lymph node cases and non-metastatic lymph node cases, while CT detected a total of metastatic lymph node cases and non-metastatic lymph node cases.Comparison with post-operative pathological results showed that the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of H-CEUS were 86.00%,72.73%and 81.94%,respectively,while those of CT were 78.00%,63.64%and 73.61%,respectively.The sensi-tivity,specificity,and accuracy of H-CEUS combined with CT were 92.00%,86.36%,and 90.28%,respectively,which were higher than those of single H-CEUS and CT(P<0.05).Conclusion H-CEUS and CT were able to assess the presence of early metastatic lesions in SLN of breast cancer,in which high-frequency ultrasonography had a greater predictive value of early metastasis in SLN of breast cancer(P<0.05),and the combination of the two had the greatest predictive value(P<0.05).
