Application Effect of Quality Control Circle in Improving the Timing of Prophylactic Antibacterial Drug Use in Surgical Patients
Objective To explore the application effect of quality control circle in improving the timing of prophy-lactic antibacterial drug use in surgical patients.Methods From January 2023 to June 2023,872 surgical patients with prophylactic use of antibiotics were selected as the control group before the implementation of the QCC ac-tivities.From July 2023 to November 2023,838 surgical patients with prophylactic use of antibiotics were select-ed as the observation group after the implementation of the QCC activities.The correct rate of the timing of pro-phylactic use of antibiotics and the incidence of surgical site infection were compared between the two groups to evaluate the effect of the QCC activities.Results After the implementation of the QCC activities,the correct rate of the timing of prophylactic use of antibiotics increased from 40.83％to 80.67％(P＜0.001),and the inci-dence of surgical site infection decreased from 1.49％to 0.48％(P=0.035).At the same time,the quality control skills,problem-solving ability,cohesion,pleasure,communication and cooperation ability,sense of responsibility,team spirit and positive sense of the circle members are positively improved.Conclusion The quality control cir-cle activities have enhanced the awareness of medical staff to use prophylactic antibiotics in a standardized man-ner,effectively improving the accuracy of the timing of prophylactic antibiotic use for surgical patients.
