Evaluation of treatment prognosis of patients with different liver function by esopha-geal non-intensive ligation
Objective To observe the effect of endoscopic non-intensive ligation therapy on esophageal varices in pa-tients with liver function grade B(Child-Pugh grade B)and liver function grade C(Child-Pugh grade C),and analyze whether the prognosis of patients with poor liver function grade after ligation is worse than that of patients with good liver function grade. Methods A total of 76 patients with cirrhosis and esophageal varices admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from 2007 to 2013 were selected, including 47 males and 29 females with an av-erage age of 55 years.Experimental group:liver function grade B,40 cases;Control group. All 36 cases with grade C liver function underwent endoscopic treatment with six consecutive ligation devices, with ligation rings≤6 as non-dense ligation. Results There was no significant difference in the average number of first ligation between the experimental group and the control group(t=1.551,P=0.125).There was no significant difference between the two groups(χ2= 0.085,P>0.05).The total effective rate of the first ligation, after half a year, after 1 year, after 2 years,3 years were statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion The degree of liver function can af-fect the prognosis of esophageal variceal ligation patients after operation. In the long run,the prognosis of patients with grade B liver function is better than that of patients with grade C liver function.Clinicians should carefully evaluate the liver function grade before performing varicose ligation treatment.
