Progress and role of sex hormones and Treg/Th17 imbalance in autoimmune hepatitis
Autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)is a typical autoimmune-mediated liver disease. Most patients have insidi-ous onset without specific clinical manifestations, and the detection rate is increasing year by year. Its mechanism is re-lated to the immune regulation disorder mediated by T lymphocytes, especially the imbalance of Treg/Th17.AIH occurs mostly in perimenopausal women.Sex hormones play an important role in the immune response by affecting the expres-sion of immune cells, which can lead to the development and progression of AIH.In this paper,we briefly reviewed the role and research progress of sex hormones and Treg/Th17 imbalance in AIH.
