Correlation analysis of serum Chemerin level and Th9/Treg cell imbalance in pa-tients with ulcerative colitis
Objective To explore the correlation between level of serum Chemerin and Th9/Treg imbalance in pa-tients with ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods From Nov.2020 to Nov.2021,85 patients who were diagnosed with UC in our hospital were taken as the UC group.Eighty healthy subjects were taken as the control group.Flow cytometry was applied to detect the ratio of Th9/Treg.ELISA was used to detect serum levels of IL-9,CRP,IL-10 and IL-17.The correlation between Chemerin expression and Mayo score, the correlation between Chemerin expression and Th9,Treg,Th9/Treg and related cytokines were analyzed. Results The level of Chemerin and Mayo score in UC group were obvi-ously higher than those in control group, the level of Chemerin and Mayo score in severe group were obviously higher than those in moderate group and mild group, and the moderate group were obviously higher than that in mild group(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between Chemerin expression and Mayo score(P<0.05).The proportion of Treg and the level of IL-10 in the UC group were obviously lower than those in the control group, while the proportion of Th9,Th9/Treg and levels of IL-9,CRP,IL-17 in the UC group were obviously higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The proportion of Treg and the level of IL-10 in the severe group of UC patients were obviously lower than those in the moderate and mild groups, and the moderate group were obviously lower than the mild group(P<0.05).Flow cytometry results showed that the ratio of Th9/CD4+ in serum of UC patients was significantly increased, the ratio of Treg/CD4+ was significantly decreased, and the ratio of Th9/Treg was significantly increased(P<0.05).The propor-tion of Th9,Th9/Treg,and the levels of IL-9,CRP,IL-17 in the severe group of UC patients were obviously higher than those in the moderate and mild groups, while the above values in the moderate group were obviously higher than those in the mild group(P<0.05).The expression of serum Chemerin in UC group was positively correlated with Th9 ratio,Th9/Treg,levels of CRP,IL-17,IL-9,and negatively correlated with Treg ratio and level of IL-10(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum Chemerin level in UC patients is closely related to Th9/Treg cell imbalance.
