Advances in the mechanism of action of PAR-2 activation in irritable bowel syn-drome
Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)is a common functional intestinal disorder, mainly including lower abdo-men pain, bowel behavior and habit changes and other symptoms. As IBS greatly reduces the quality of life of patients and causes great economic pressure to patients, its pathogenesis and treatment have become the focus of many scholars, which is considered to be the result of the combined action of visceral sensitivity, gastrointestinal motility abnormalities, intestinal infection and mental and psychological disorders. In recent years, studies have shown that protease activated receptor 2(PAR-2)is closely related to IBS.PAR-2 has been found to affect the occurrence and development of IBS through its activation and signaling pathways. In this paper, the relationship between PAR-2 and IBS occurrence was re-viewed.
