The relationship between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and Helicobacter pylori infection
Objective To investigate the relationship between H.pylori infection and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods A total of 289 patients were encountered in our hospital from Jan.2022 to Oct.2022,and 13C-UBT,abdominal ultrasound examination, liver function, renal function, blood glucose and blood lipids were ob-tained.Logistic analysis was used to analyze the correlation between H.pylori infection and NAFLD.Results The prev-alence of NAFLD in H.pylori positive group(46.8%,58/124)was significantly higher than that in H.pylori negative group(29.1%,48/165)(P=0.002).The H.pylori infection rate in NAFLD group(54.7%,58/106)was higher than that in non-NAFLD group(36.1%,66/183)(P=0.002).In patients with H.pylori infection, the BOD values of 13C-UBT in NALFD patients and non-NAFLD patients were 29.5±2.65 and 34.3±2.46,respectively,with no statistical difference(P=0.1885).In NAFLD patients and non-NAFLD patients, there was no significant difference in liver func-tion,renal function, blood glucose and blood lipids between H.pylori positive group and negative group(P>0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of NAFLD in H.pylori infected patients was higher than that in H.pylori non-infected patients, with statistical difference(P=0.001).Conclusion H.pylori infected patients are more likely to develop NAFLD.H.pylori infection is an independent risk factor for NAFLD.NAFLD patients have a higher H.pylori infection rate, and there may be a correlation between H.pylori infection and NAFLD.
