Expression and clinical significance of serum exosomal lnc-KIAA1586-2 in colorectal cancer
Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of serum exosomal lnc-KIAA1586-2 in colorectal cancer(CRC)patients. Methods Peripheral serum samples from 110 CRC patients and 100 healthy sub-jects were collected from Jan.2019 to Dec.2020.General data and follow-up information of CRC patients were also col-lected.The expression levels of serum exosomal lnc-KIAA1586-2 were detected via qRT-PCR.The serum concentrations of traditional biomarker(CEA and CA19-9)were measured via a chemiluminescent detection system.ROC curve and AUC were used to estimate the diagnostic capacity, and the relationship with clinicopathological features of CRC patients was also investigated.Multivariate regression analysis was performed using Cox proportional hazard analysis. Results The expression level of serum exosomal lnc-KIAA1586-2 in CRC was significantly higher than that in healthy control group(t=9.53,P<0.001),and the relative expression level decreased significantly after surgery. The area under the ROC curve of lnc-KIAA1586-2 was 0.832,which was higher than the diagnostic accuracies of CEA and CA19-9.Further analysis found that the expression level of exosomal lnc-KIAA1586-2 was significantly correlated with tumor size(x2=6.53,P<0.05),TNM stage(x2=5.61,P<0.05)and lymph node metastasis(x2=8.49,P<0.05).Moreover,mult-ivariate analysis results indicated that exosomal lnc-KIAA1586-2 was an independent prognostic factor in CRC.Conclusion Our data demonstrated that exosomal lnc-KIAA1586-2 might be a promising noninvasive biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of CRC.
