Research progress of transabdominal ultrasound in ulcerative colitis
Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a chronic inflammatory disease of unknown cause.Chronic course and recur-rence are clinical features of the disease.Regular follow-up monitoring is essential to guide treatment optimization,enhance long-term outcomes and prevent complications.As a non-invasive,inexpensive and easy-to-perform examina-tion,transabdominal ultrasound(TAUS)is of great value in disease monitoring and efficacy assessment of UC.This article reviewed both domestic and international literature,and summarized the research progress of TAUS in UC.
