The functional effect of bovine lactoferrin on the eradication of Helicobacter pylori
Objective To evaluate the effect of bovine lactoferrin(bLF)on H.pylori from in vitro and animal exper-iments.Methods bLF was co-cultured with H.pylori standard strains and drug-resistant strains, respectively, and the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of bLF against H.pylori was recorded.A H.pylori infection mouse model was constructed to evaluate the H.pylori eradication and gastric mucosal damage, inflammatory factors and tight conjunctions in mice after bLF treatment. Results bLF could inhibit the growth of H.pylori standard strains at a concentration of 1.5 g/L.At the same concentration,bLF could cooperate with antibiotics to inhibit the growth of H.pylori resistant strains at this concentration;bLF could reduce the gastric mucosa of H.pylori infected mice.bLF could reduce the level of inflammatory factor TNF-α,prevent damage to tight junction proteins Occludin and ZO-1,and maintain mucosal in-tegrity.Conclusion bLF has certain validity with anti-H.pylori effect.bLF can improve gastric mucosal inflammation caused by H.pylori and has a protective effect on the tight junction proteins between gastric mucosal cells.
