Analysis of predictive factors of mucosal healing in Crohn's disease
Objective To analyze clinical predictive factors of mucosal healing(MH)in Crohn's disease(CD).Methods From Jan.2010 to Dec.2019,the clinical, laboratory, endoscopic and follow up data of 70 CD patients who received treatment in our medical center were retrospectively analyzed.Patients were divided into MH group and non-MH group based on endoscopic findings of mucosal ulceration.Univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regres-sion analysis were conducted to indentify predictive factors of MH.Results Among the 70 CD patients,48(68.57%)were male and 22(31.43%)were female, with the age of(41.30±15.48)years.Twenty-five(35.71%)patients were in the MH group, while 45(64.29%)were in the non-MH group. There were significant differences between pa-tients in MH group and non-MH group in terms of level of education[(13.36±3.17)years vs(10.78±3.25)years,P=0.002]and use of biological agents[18 cases(72.00%)vs 14 cases(31.11%),P=0.001].Multivariate Logistic analysis revealed that higher education level(OR=1.334,95%CI:1.055-1.688,P=0.016)and use of biological agents(OR=15.997,95%CI:1.512-169.297,P=0.021)were predictive factors of MH in CD.Conclusion Higher level of education and use of biological agents are predictive factors of MH in CD.
