Analysis of clinical and pathological features of colorectal flat adenoma and adeno-carcinoma
Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of colorectal flat adenoma and adenocarci-noma.Methods Clinical and pathological data of 802 patients with colorectal flat lesions who underwent colonoscopy and biopsy in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from Jan.2019 to Dec.2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The colorectal adenomatous and andadenocarcinoma groups were selected to analyze the factors related to grade malignancy. Results There were 802 cases of flat lesions of large intestine, the main type was tubular adenoma(48.6%).There were more lesions ≤5 mm(43.9%),among which 152 cases were adenoma and adenocarcinoma(43.2%).There were 422 cases of adenoma and adenocarcinoma, most of which were male(62.1%)and most of which were over 40 years old(94.8%),but age and sex were not related to the degree of malignancy(P>0.05).The degree of malignancy of colorectal adenomatous polyps and adenocarcinomas are related to the diamete of the lesion, the location of the lesion, the type of lesion, and the morphological characteristics of the lesion. Conclusion The types of rectal flat lesions were diverse, mainly manifested as tubular adenoma. The lesions size, location, type and surface morphology may be related factors to the malignancy degree of colorectal adenomatous polyps and adenocarcinomas.
