Progress in the risk factors associated with recurrence after colorectal polypectomy
Colorectal cancer(CRC)can originate from the initially adenomatous polyp that subsequently undergo an adenoma-carcinoma transition sequence.Polypectomy interrupts this sequence and reduces the incidence of CRC.Previ-ous studies have suggested that adenoma traits at colonoscopy are closely related to currence.Location, size, histological type at colonoscopy are known risk factors for adenomatous polyp recurrence. In this review, the factors related to the re-currence of colorectal polyps were reviewed.
