The relationship between the expression of lncRNA PTPRG-AS1 and miR-599 in gastric cancer tissue and clinical pathological characteristics and prognosis
Objective To analyze the expression levels of long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)protein tyrosine phos-phatase receptor G gene antisense chain 1(PTPRG-AS1)and miR-599 in gastric cancer tissues, and to explore their correlation with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis. Methods A total of 106 gastric cancer patients admit-ted to Liyuan Hospital of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from Jan.2016 to Feb.2020 were collected as the research subjects. The levels of lncRNA PTPRG-AS1 and miR-599 in gastric cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were detected and compared. Results The expression level of lncRNA PTPRG-AS1 in gas-tric cancer tissue was obviously higher than that in adjacent tissues(P<0.05),the expression level of miR-599 was ob-viously lower than that in adjacent tissues(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed there was an obvious negative correlation between the expression levels of lncRNA PTPRG-AS1 and miR-599 in gastric cancer tissue(r=-0.485,P<0.05).lncRNA PTPRG-AS1 and miR-599 were both associated with TNM staging, depth of infiltration, degree of dif-ferentiation and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).Survival was significantly higher in the lncRNA PTPRG-AS1 low ex-pression group and miR-599 high expression group.LncRNA PTPRG-AS1 and miR-599 expression were risk factors for poor prognosis in gastric cancer patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of lncRNA PTPRG-AS1 and miR-599 in gastric cancer tissues are closely related to the clinical pathological characteristics and prognosis of patients.
