Relationship between clinicopathological parameters and miR-191/PLCd1 expres-sions in patients with H.pylori-positive gastric cancer
Objective To analyze the relationship between clinicopathological parameters and expressions of miR-191/phospholipase C delta 1(PLCd1)in patients with H.pylori-positive gastric cancer. Methods A total of 86 pa-tients with H.pylori-positive gastric cancer from Jan.2021 to Dec.2022 were selected as H.pylori group, and 80 pa-tients with H.pylori-negative gastric cancer were enrolled as non-H.pylori group.Clinical data of patients in both groups were retrospectively analyzed, and the differences in expressions of miR-191,PLCd1 and miR-191/PLCd1 ratio were compared between gastric cancer tissues and adjacent tissues. The correlation between expression of miR-191 and ex-pression of PLCd1 in gastric cancer tissues in patients with H.pylori-positive gastric cancer was analyzed. The difference and the correlation between miR-191/PLCd1 ratio and clinicopathological parameters in patients with H.pylori-positive gastric cancer were analyzed. Results The relative expression level of miR-191 and miR-191/PLCd1 ratio in cancer tis-sues in H.pylori group and non-H.pylori group were significantly higher than those in adjacent tissues(P<0.05),fur-thermore,the relative expression level of miR-191 and the miR-191/PLCd1 ratio in cancer tissues of H.pylori group were higher than those in cancer tissues in non-H.pylori group(P<0.05).The relative expression level of PLCd1 in cancer tissues in H.pylori group and non-H.pylori group was significantly lower than that in adjacent tissues(P<0.05),and the relative expression level of PLCd1 in cancer tissues of H.pylori group was lower than that in non-H.pylori group(P<0.05).Pearson correlation coefficient analysis showed that the relative expression level of miR-191 in cancer tis-sues was significantly negatively correlated with relative expression level of PLCd1(r=-0.649,P<0.05).Among pa-tients with H.pylori-positive gastric cancer, the miR-191/PLCd1 ratio in cancer tissues of patients with infiltration depth T3-T4 was significantly higher than that of patients with T,-T2(P<0.05).Additionally,the miR-191/PLCd1 ratio in pa-tients with lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than that in patients without lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).Spearman rank correlation analysis revealed that the miR-191/PLCd 1 ratio in cancer tissues was positively cor-related with infiltration depth and lymph node metastasis(r=0.775,0.728,P<0.05).Conclusion The miR-191/PLCd1 ratio in cancer tissues is closely associated with the biological behaviors of H.pylori-positive gastric cancer, and may serve as a novel target for diagnosis and treatment strategies in gastric cancer.
