Objective To explore the function and mechanism of MYB gene in the development of gastric cancer.Methods Immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression of MYB in 200 pairs of gastric cancer tissues.MTT and clone formation assay were used to detect the effect of MYB on the proliferation of gastric cancer cells.Flow cytometry was conducted to explore the effect of MYB on cell cycle.TCGA database was used to analyze the effect of MYB on the expression of cell cycle related genes.Results Compared with normal tissues,the expression level of MYB in gastric cancer tissues was significantly increased,and it was negatively correlated with the survive of the patients with gastric cancer.MYB promoted the proliferation of gastric cancer cells by regulating cell cycle.The expression of MYB was positively correlated with the expression of CYCLIN A2 mRNA.Conclusion MYB can be used as a biomarker for diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer.
