The value of inflammation-related indicators in gastric stromal tumor
Objective To research the value of inflammation-related indicators to distinguish gastric stromal tumor(GST)and assess malignant potential of GST.Methods The clinical data of 243 patients with GST or gastric leiomyoma(GL)which were retrospectively collected from Jan.2020 to May 2023.The baseline data and inflammation-related in-dicators were compared. The inflammation-related indicators of different malignant potential of GST were compared, and the inflammation-related indicators between the ≤2 cm of GL and GST of very low malignant potential. Results Compared with the patients of GL,the patients of GST had older age, higher PLR(blood platelet count/lymphocyte count),higher NLR(neutrophil count/lymphocyte count),higher SII(neutrophil count × blood platelet count/lymphocyte count)and lower LMR(lymphocyte/monocyte),and the GST patients had larger diameter(comparing with the diameter of ≤2 cm),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).When the inflammation-related indicators of different malignant potential of GST were compared, the GST patients of higher malignant potential had higher PLR,higher NLR,higher SII and lower LMR,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was only the LMR which had the statistically significant between the ≤2 cm of GL and GST of very low malignant potential(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the GL,the GST has more complicated inflammatory reactions, and the inflammatory reac-tion is connected with the different malignant potential. We can use the inflammation-related indicators to distinguish GST and assess malignant potential of GST.
