In order to further tap the technical potential of programmable timer products,combined with the application advantages of 82C54,the application of the chip in computer system is discussed.Based on the introduction of the working process of 82C54,its functional characteristics are analyzed,three latching methods are especially pointed out,and the common problems in the initialization process of 82C54 are summarized.Through the practical application in computer system,the configuration method of 82C54 and the compilation of some initialization programs are discussed in detail.According to the working needs of real-time clock,an independent design and code writing of 82C54 password lock is completed.The study can provide reference for the research and development of products in related field.
