An Automated Detection Method for Cascading Faults in Low Voltage Power Distribution Lines of Subway Stations
Given the complex wiring and numerous cross-connections in subway station power distribution lines,a cascading fault automatic detection method for low voltage power distribution lines in subway stations is proposed to reduce fault detection difficulty. The method addresses various fault types that may occur in such lines, including short circuits, ground faults, and overloads.Through fault analysis, the voltage characteristics of lines that are likely to experience cascading overload effects after line disconnection are predicted. The cascading fault's initial stage is determined based on changes in voltage characteristics. The proposed automatic detection method detects the zero-sequence voltage steepness of cascading faults within the range of the initial stage, enabling efficient cascading fault detection.Experimental results demonstrate that the method can accurately detect voltage fluctuations during fault occurrence, proving the effectiveness of the proposed method. The method also exhibits higher automatic detection accuracy and can be applied in actual operation.
