Objective:To analyze the prognosis of 3 patients with long-segment ureteral avulsion who under-went end-to-end ureteral anastomosis in General Hospital of Eastern Theater Command to provide a basis for finding more suitable repair methods for long-segment ureteral injuries. Methods:Three cases were all upper ureteral calcu-li,including 2 males and 1 female, were treated with ureteroscopy to treat the upper ureteral calculi and caused a long ureteral avulsion. The avulsed ureter was cleaned with normal saline, and the necessary end trimming was per-formed,and then received end-to-end anastomosis. Results:All 3 cases were successful. The kidneys were pre-served.After a follow-up of 1 to 3 years, showed no significant worsening of hydronephrosis or ureteral dilation com-pared to preoperative conditions, with normal serum creatinine and electrolyte levels. Conclusion:In situ repair of long ureteral injury,in the case of complete ureteral tissue structure and no irreversible disease, the end-to-end anasto-mosis repair method is feasible. This technique avoids the need to discard the existing ureteral tissue in favor of re-placement options, such as bowel interposition, reduce the long-term complications of intestinal ureteral replacement and other methods, and improve the quality of life of patients.
