自适应高效率LED背光驱动控制电路

针对因LED导通压降不同而产生的额外功率损耗问题,设计了一种带自适应控制的多通道LED背光驱动控制电路,通过自适应控制,最小化线性电流调节器上的电压.基于 0.18 μm BCD工艺搭建了一种适用于自适应控制的线性电流调节器,可实现通道电流 0~48 mA线性可调,电流分辨率为 0.2 mA,不同工艺角以及温度下的全电流范围误差小于 0.1%,版图面积为 0.504 mm2.仿真结果显示,当通道电流为 20 mA时,带自适应控制的三通道LED驱动电路的电源效率为 95.2%,其中线性电流调节器的功率损耗降低了 74%.
A daptive high efficiency LED backlight drive control circuit
Aiming at the problem of additional power loss caused by different LED conduction voltage drop,a multi-channel LED backlight drive control circuit with adaptive control is designed.Through adaptive control,the voltage on the linear current regulator is minimized.Based on 0.18 μm BCD process,a linear current regulator suitable for adaptive control is built,which can realize linear adjustment of channel current from 0 to 48 mA,and the current resolution is 0.2 mA.At different process angles and temperatures,the error of full current range is less than 0.1%,and the layout area is 0.504 mm2.The simulation results show that when the channel current is 20 mA,the power efficiency of the three-channel LED drive circuit with adaptive control is 95.2%,and the power loss of the linear current regulator is reduced by 74%.
