Drawing inspiration from Greek and Roman mythology, and combining it with the decorative motifs found on the cosmetic plates and clay blocks unearthed in the Gandhara region, this paper suggests that the decoration on the silver plate from the Dulan Reshui tombs depicts the story of Apollo and Daphne from Roman mythology. The characters depicted include Apollo,Daphne,Daphne's father, the river god Peneus, and the laurel tree into which Daphne transformed.Meanwhile, the paper also briefly discusses the silver plate with gilt gold from the Tubo period housed in the Miho Art Museum in Japan, aiming to explore the dissemination of Greco-Roman cultural elements along the Silk Road's Qinghai Route to the Central Plains region.Building upon the interpretation and analysis of the decorative motifs on the silver plates from Dulan, the paper also discusses the connection between the laurel tree motifs on the Dulan silver plate and the laurel tree patterns on mirrors depicting the Moon Palace story from the Tang Dynasty.
