In August 2017,the Jingzhou Museum conducted an excavation of the Han-Dynasty tomb no.M1 at the Xiaojiawo site in the Ecological Cultural Tourism District in Jingzhou City,Hubei Province.The tomb is a rectangular pit with a vertical wooden coffin,dating roughly to the early Western Han period.It yields artifacts such as pottery,bronze items,and lacquered wooden objects.The excavation of this tomb provides new material for the study of burial customs and practices of Han-Dynasty tombs in the Jingzhou region.
