The Yulin Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics Conservation conducted excavations of the Sangshuping cemetery in Qingjian County,Yulin City,in 1996 and 2001.A total of 21 Han-Dynasty tombs were excavated.These tombs date back to the Western Han period,indicating an extended period of use of the cemetery.Most of them likely belonged to commoners.The burial customs,funerary practices,and accompanying grave goods show certain regional characteristics.These tombs provide valuable new insights into the funeral customs and material culture of the Western Han period in the northern Shaanxi region.
