This article situates the subsidiary tombs of Tang-Dynasty mausoleums within the overall layout of these mausoleum complexes,considering the changes in the location and arrangement order of the tombs.It explores the transition of the subsidiary tomb system from the"Zhenzhuo Hanwei(Consideration of Han and Wei Practices)"to the"Qianling Moshi(Qianling Model)".By examining the historical context of the subsidiary tombs'construction for each Tang-Dynasty mausoleum,the article discusses the evolutionary patterns marked by the status of the tomb owners and the number of subsidiary tombs.
