Public historiography emphasizes practice,interdisciplinarity,and audience.It provides a solid theoretical framework for the dissemination of historical contents in exhibitions.Museums play a crucial role in such practices,contributing to cultural inheritance alongside public historiography.However,the issue of public historical writing requires further exploration.Building upon theoretical explanations,this study focuses on the tendency of"public historical writing"from the perspective of public historiography.It investigates the dissemination of historical contents in exhibitions through three dimensions,namely,public rethinking of history,writing history for the public,and public participation in historical writing.This approach aims to convey historical contents more accurately and effectively to the public,enhance public participation in museum exhibitions,and deepen innovations and widespread dissemination of historical contents in exhibitions.
