Considering that the archaeological work of Neolithic cultures in the middle reaches of the Luo River, where the Suyang site is located, has been relatively limited,a systematic field archaeological survey was conducted by the Luoyang Municipal Institute of Archaeological Research at the Suyang site from March to May 2021.The survey aimed to further clarify the extent of the site, its nature, settlement patterns, and functional zones. The investigation confirmed the distribution of the site and uncovered important features such as moats, house foundations, tombs, lakes, and ash pits. These findings provide valuable materials for studying the settlement patterns, social development level, and subsistence strategies of the Yangshao period in this region.
