As the capital region during the Western Han Dynasty,Xi'an has seen numerous excavations of medium and small-sized Western-Han tombs over the years.Archaeological evidence suggests that the design and dimensions of these tombs are closely related to the social status and wealth of the tomb owners during their lifetimes.This paper uses typological and statistical methods to analyze 969 medium and small-sized Western-Han tombs in the Xi'an area,focusing on their design and dimensions.It summarizes the quantity and temporal characteristics of different types of tombs and provides a preliminary examination of the social strata reflected by these medium and small-sized tombs during the Western Han Dynasty.
