This study focuses on the Minggong Road pottery workshop in the Zhengzhou Shang City, analyzing its zoning based on the core concept of archaeological feature assemblages. The workshop is divided into two major zones, north and south, comprising a total of eight sub-zones.Each sub-zone consists of clusters of archaeological feature assemblages that are independent yet contemporaneously active.A comprehensive and systematic zoning study of the Minggong Road pottery workshop reveals that each zone functions not only as a relatively independent production unit employing a"comprehensive"production method but also as a social organizational unit, reflecting a"residence-burial integration"settlement pattern.
