摘要
华裔女作家谭恩美凭借其处女作《喜福会》蜚声华美文坛,其随后的又一力作《灶神之妻》更是巩固了她在亚裔美国文学界的地位.在东西方文化不断夹击之下,她并没有数典忘祖,而是在作品中或隐或显地褒扬儒家文化,表达了对中国文化割舍不断的情愫.本文以其小说《灶神之妻》为切人点,借由文本细读的策略去剖析儒家孝文化在谭恩美小说中的呈现,揭示传统儒家孝文化在作者心中所占据的地位.
Abstract
Amy Tan,as an up-rising star,is well-noted for her debut,The Joy Luck Club,in the realm of Chinese-American literary circle,and her following work,The Kitchen God's Wife,helps her gain more fame.Amy Tan,who is living between the worlds,is never cutting hers ties with her descent;instead,she praises Confucian culture in her works either implicitly or explicit-ly.This paper takes The Kitchen God's Wife as the point of departure by means of close reading to reveal the position of Confucian culture in the author's mind.
