Objective To investigate the clinical effect of continuous subcutaneous infusion of insulin pump in the treatment of type 1 diabetes in children. Methods A total of 80 children with type 1 diabetes admitted to Lanshan District Endocrine Hospital of Linyi City from April 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with multiple subcutaneous insulin injections, and the observation group was treated with continuous subcutaneous infusion of insulin pump. The blood glucose related indexes, the time of blood glucose reaching the target, the total insulin dose and the cost of insulin treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The time of blood glucose reaching the target of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).The total insulin dose and the cost of insulin treatment in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous subcutaneous infusion of insulin pump in the treatment of type 1 diabetes in children can effectively control blood glucose, reduce the total dosage of insulin and the cost of insulin treatment.
