Objective To investigate the clinical effect of uterine artery embolization in the treatment of severe postpartum hemorrhage.Methods A total of 80 patients with severe postpartum hemorrhage admitted to Beihai Hospital of Yantai from February 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with intrauterine balloon compression hemostasis,and the study group was treated with uterine artery embolization.The therapeutic effect and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was 97.50%,which was higher than 82.50% of the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 7.50%,which was lower than 30.00% in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of uterine artery embolization in the treatment of severe postpartum hemorrhage is good,which can improve the treatment efficiency and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
