Objective To investigate the application of different postural fixation methods in radiotherapy of breast cancer. Methods A total of 60 patients with breast cancer admitted to Jinan Third People's Hospital from January 2022 to August 2023 were selected and divided into group A and group B according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group.Group A used breast bracket fixation, and group B used negative pressure pad and head film fixation. The position placement error, position placement time and clinical target volume(CTV)-planning target volume(PTV)expansion boundary were compared between the two groups. Results The position placement errors in Y and Z directions in group B were lower than those in group A(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in the position placement errors in X direction(P>0.05).The position placement time in group B was shorter than that in group A(P<0.05).The expansion boundary values of CTV-PTV in X,Y and Z directions were 2.16,1.86 and 2.22 mm for group B,and 3.77,3.30 and 3.80 mm for group A in X,Y and Z directions, respectively. Conclusion Compared with breast bracket fixation, negative pressure pad and head film fixation can reduce Y and Z position placement errors, shorten position placement time, and lower the CTV-PTV expansion boundary value in breast cancer radiotherapy patients.
