Objective To explore the application effect of early comprehensive nursing intervention in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus.Methods A total of 200 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus who were treated in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Pingyi County Baotai Town Health Center from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 100 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing intervention,and the observation group received early comprehensive nursing intervention.The delivery outcome,the incidence of polyhydramnios,premature rupture of membranes,postpartum hemorrhage,neonatal complications,and blood glucose levels were compared between the two groups.Results The cesarean section rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the incidence of polyhydramnios,premature rupture of membranes and postpartum hemorrhage was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of neonatal asphyxia,hypoglycemia and macrosomia in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Early comprehensive nursing intervention for patients with gestational diabetes mellitus can improve the delivery outcome,reduce the incidence of polyhydramnios,premature rupture of membranes,postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal complications,and improve blood glucose level.
