During the fetal period, the opening of ductus arteriosus is crucial for maintaining fetal circulation, and the ductus arteriosus is spontaneously closed after birth in term infants.Failure to spontaneously close the ductus arteriosus after birth in premature infants can cause systemic ischemia and pulmonary congestion, leading to related complications. At present, the treatment of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm infants is still controversial.Early use of drugs and surgical closure of the arterial catheter in premature infants does not improve outcomes such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and will increase adverse reactions. In addition, ductus arteriosus in preterm infants may spontaneously close. This article reviews the influencing factors of early spontaneous closure of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm infants,so as to provide a basis for early intervention of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm infants.
