Objective To investigate the clinical effect of closed reduction elastic intramedullary nail in the treatment of femoral fracture in children. Methods A total of 80 children with femoral fracture admitted to Jiyang District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jinan City from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected and divided into the reference group(40 cases, treated with open reduction plate fixation)and the study group(40 cases, treated with closed reduction elastic intramedullary nail)according to random number table method. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results Compared with the reference group, the study group had higher total effective rate, lower total complication rate, shorter operation time and fracture healing time, less intraoperative blood loss, and smaller wound length(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of closed reduction elastic intramedullary nail in the treatment of children with femoral fracture has better effect, fewer complications, and shorter recovery time, which has great significance in clinical application.
