Objective To explore the application effect of behavioral ecology management model in nosocomial infection prevention and control in neonates. Methods A total of 1640 neonates admitted to the Department of Neonatology,Wuxi Children's Hospital from January to June 2022 and from January to June 2023 were selected as the study objects.Among them, the neonates admitted from January to June 2022 were selected as the control group(801 cases)and the neonates admitted from January to June 2023 were selected as the observation group(839 cases). The control group applied the traditional management model to prevent and control nosocomial infection, and the observation group applied the behavioral ecology management model to prevent and control nosocomial infection. The incidence of nosocomial infection, implementation rate of hand hygiene, and the qualified rate of cleaning quality were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of nosocomial infection in the observation group was 0.72%,lower than 2.00%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The implementation rate of hand hygiene in the observation group was 80.78%,higher than 64.17%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The qualified rate of cleaning quality in the observation group was 85.22%,higher than 58.94%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of behavioral ecology management model is helpful to improve the implementation rate of nosocomial infection prevention and control measures,so as to reduce the incidence of neonatal nosocomial infection.
