Objective To explore the clinical effect of focused ultrasound ablation surgery(FUAS)in the treatment of internal adenomyosis(AD).Methods A total of 180 patients with internal AD admitted to Pingyin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to October 2022 were selected and divided into study group(n=90)and control group(n=90)by random number table method. The control group was treated with laparoscopic lesion resection, and the study group was treated with FUAS.The perioperative indicators, menstrual volume, degree of dysmenorrhea, sex hormone levels, and recurrence rate of dysmenorrhea were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss of the study group was less than that of the control group, and the operation time, time to get out of bed, time to resume diet, and length of hospital stay were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months after operation, the menstrual volume and pain scores of the two groups were lower than those before operation, and those of the study group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the levels of estradiol,follicle-stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone between the two groups before operation and at 6 months after operation(P>0.05).There was no difference in the recurrence rate of dysmenorrhea between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion FUAS in the treatment of internal AD can improve perioperative indicators and menstrual volume, reduce the degree of dysmenorrhea, and has little effect on sex hormones.
