Objective To explore the clinical effect of modified Sangbaipi Decoction in the treatment of pediatric Mycoplasma pneumonia with syndrome of phlegm-heat closure lung. Methods A total of 160 children with Mycoplasma pneumonia due to phlegm-heat closure lung admitted to Yangxin County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected and divided into two groups by the random number table method, with 80 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Azithromycin, and the observation group was treated with modified Sangbaipi Decoction on the basis of control group. The clinical efficacy, the disappearance time of clinical symptoms, the levels of inflammatory factors, and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The clinical efficacy of observation group was better than that of control group(P<0.05).The disappearance time of fever, cough, lung rales and regression time of inflammatory infiltration in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-1β in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of observation group was lower than that of control group(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions in both groups. Conclusion Modified Sangbaipi Decoction has good clinical effect in treating pediatric Mycoplasma pneumonia with syndrome of phlegm-heat closure lung, which can promote the relief of symptoms and reduce inflammation reaction, and is worth popularizing.
